The staple sheath dress pattern

Talking about a woman's wardrobe, it is impossible not to mention the staple sheath dress. The dress can be used for whatever occasion you attend - from day to night, from casual to formal, from work to play. It can be made in all kind of fabrics: lace, cotton blend, brocade, etc. and can be altered easily.

I have a dozen of sheath dresses in my wardrobe, and I can't stop making more every time I find a suitable fabric. I wear them to work almost every day - they are so easy to mix with accessories like cardigans, blazers, necklaces, handbags or shoes. You will never look boring when combining the sheath dress with the right accessories.

The staple sheath dress is also super easy - even for those who are not very experienced. It is also a good one to practice your sewing skills. If you are a newbie in sewing, choose a fabric that is not too thin or too stretchy. And because the dress is so simple with just a few details, please be careful with each seam. A neatly sewn seam will give the dress a high class feeling - look at those luxurious brands! Many of their pieces are classic - the only thing that makes them worthy of the money is the cuts and seams (and the fabrics of course). With the right choice of fabrics, you will have a nice piece of dress no less graceful than the high fashion pieces.

Again, the pattern for the staple sheath dress is made with sizes - petite and regular sizes. Please check for your size before choosing to download. There are some sizes that have not been added, please be patient, I will add them as soon as possible!

You can check for your size here: The Little Sewist Size Chart

The patterns are in pdf format, after downloading, print them on A4 size papers at no scaling/actual size, cut along the lines and tape them together. Put them on the fabric of your choice and start sewing!

Enjoy the sewing journey, and don't forget to share with me your masterpieces!

XOXO

    1. Hi, I am changing my "pattern system" to make them clearer and easier to use. I will redo the pattern for this dress as soon as I have time.
      Thank you.
